Applications will be reviewed on a regular basis and applicants who have met the requirements will be invited for an interview. Shortlisted applicants will be notified of the offer(s) via the Online Application System (OAS), and as such you are advised to login to the OAS and check for updates from time to time.

* Tuition fee for part-time students will be the same as full-time student but paid in instalment over the part-time normative study period.
All applications should be submitted via the OAS on or before June 1, 2025. Late applications may be considered on a first-come-first served and case-by-case basis.
Taught postgraduate (MA)
Personal portfolios and CVs are not required for MA program applications.
You may nevertheless opt to upload such documents under Other Documents in the Online Application System if you wish to showcase your artistic virtue or technical finesse to strengthen your application profile. Please note the upload file size limit (1MB per file, Max. total: 5MB).
Research postgraduate (MPhil & PhD)
The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program is generally suited for students who have completed their undergraduate degree. A research-related background is not required.
Meanwhile the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program is for candidates with ample research experience and methodological knowledge (such as those who have already obtained a relevant MPhil degree), or those who have shown promising results and relevant experience in their undegraduate studies.
Applicants may choose to apply for both the MPhil and PhD programs, but are advised to consult their potential supervisors first for opinion.
No. Applicants are required to actively reach out to and obtain the endorsements from at least two AMC faculty members to act as their prime supervisor / co-supervisor(s), and to support their studentship throughout their studies.
Please note that applications will not be reviewed until all required documents are submitted and at least two supervisors are identified.
All full-time research PG students should be funded 12 months a year, up to 2 years for MPhil students and 3/4 years for PhD students. The studentship support will come mainly from the supervisors, and/or the university. The support may be dependent on satisfactory progress in the PG study or satisfactory work. Part-time students will not be given any studentships.
