The Division of Arts and Machine Creativity (AMC) proudly announces its significant participation at the Hong Kong AI Art Festival 2025, from Dec 19–21, 2025, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. As Asia's first fully immersive multisensory AI exhibition, the festival brings together visionary artists, technologists, and innovators to showcase the creative potential of artificial intelligence under the theme "Foreseeing the Future: Reality and the Infinite". The festival unfolds as a constellation of artistic experiences — from multi-format exhibitions to thought-provoking forums connecting AI, art, technology, and investment, drawing high-profile participation from industry and academia, including Kling AI, JD, and China Mobile.

AMC faculty members Prof. James SHE, Prof. Wei XUE, and Prof. Anyi RAO took up pivotal roles by running multiple public-facing AI workshops, including AI Creative Video Creation, the Application of AI in Cultural and Artistic Creativity, and AI Creative Audio Generation. In addition, Prof. Rao delivered a keynote speech titled “From Intention to Attention to Manifestation", and showcased the AI short‑film series “Echoes” developed by AMC students, at the Global Ecosystem of AI Creation Forum.

Many students of the Master of Arts (MA) program were also key participants in the event. As an executive chair of HKUSTAIFF, MA student Jiayan CHEN highlighted the inaugural HKUST AI Film Festival held in April 2025 and shared details for the upcoming 2nd edition, including topics such as innovative practices in AI‑assisted storytelling, creative expression, and the integration of traditional film art with cutting-edge AI technology. As the producer of the "Echoes" film series, MA student Shiqin HOU shared insights on AI video creation during the AI Science Sharing session at the AI Creative Video Creation workshop, and as she stated: "AIGC creation is like connecting stars and mapping constellations across the vast 'sky of possibilities'. We construct universes and define our coordinates within them." MA student Ivy ZHANG also took part in the panel discussion "AI Empowering Boundless Creativity" alongside distinguished guests from industry and academia, sharing her creative process.

Several works by AMC students were featured in the festival exhibitions, including:
The Meeting | Shiqin HOU
Where the Ink Stays | Haoyu DU, Yikun DI
Animals, Inc. | Mengke OUYANG, Mujing LIN, Yichao XU
Library of Babel | Zhengnan GUO
AMC M+ Tour Podcast | Yixuan LUO, Jiayan CHEN

AMC extends its wholehearted congratulations to the organizers and proudly highlights the outstanding contributions of the AMC community. Participation in the Hong Kong AI Art Festival not only showcases the Division’s leadership in AI‑driven creative education but also reinforces our mission to promote AI literacy and foster the convergence of technology and art.
