As the term break starts and to provide a timely stress relief to faculty members and students alike, the Division of Arts and Machine Creativity (AMC) organized a Division Outing at Tai Kwun on December 9, 2025, courtesy of our faculty member Dr. Vennes Cheng.

The group visited the ongoing exhibition "Stay Connected: Navigating the Cloud", an exhibition curated by Dr. Pi Li and Ying Kwok exploring changes in social realities in China since 2008 and their global impacts through the lens of digital technology. The exhibition, located in JC Contemporary and F Hall Gallery at Tai Kwun, is presented in eight thematic sections, highlighting topics such as information bubbles, artificial intelligence, online communities, and the changing nature of human labor with the use of digital technologies.

The group was honored to receive a warm welcome and introduction by Dr. Pi Li, followed by a guided tour through the diverse collection of thought-provoking works led by Shuman Wang. Participants observed with keen eyes and engaged in lively discussions on how art reflects and critiques the digital age, offering fresh perspectives on technology’s role in shaping the upcoming society.

The event not only provided a cultural and intellectual recharge but also strengthened the sense of community within the division, leaving everyone inspired and energized, ready to continue their creative journey ahead.
