The 2nd HKUST AI Film Hackathon continued with its first exciting tech workshop on 24 October, welcoming 171 students from 44 secondary schools to explore the exciting possibilities of AI-powered filmmaking.

Led by Ka Tam, Founder of Realm Dreamer, the workshop introduced students to TapNow and Video Rebirth, exploring how these AI tools can support creative video production and open up new possibilities for visual storytelling. Students also had the opportunity to put their learning into practice through hands-on experimentation. The classrooms quickly turned into mini creative studios, buzzing with curiosity, creativity, and new ideas. 🎥✨

Step by step, our young filmmakers are building the skills and experience to bring their own stories to life as they work towards the Final Hackathon in February 2027.

This workshop was made possible through the generous sponsorship and dedicated support of TapNow and Video Rebirth, who provided students with free credits on their platforms. Thanks to their support, students could use professional, industry-standard tools for their creative work. 🙌✨

More workshops, more tools, and more creativity ahead! 🚀
